Turkish Parliament Speaker meets OIC head in Jeddah

Turkish Parliament Speaker Mehmet Ali Sahin met with Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) Secretary-General Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu on the third and last day of his official visit to Saudi Arabia.

Earlier in the day, Sahin proceeded to Jeddah from Riyadh. He visited the Turkish Consulate General in Jeddah and met with OIC Secretary-General Ihsanoglu.

Later, Sahin met with Turkish businessmen operating in Saudi Arabia and listened to their problems.

"There are about 1009 thousand Turkish citizens living in Saudi Arabia. We are trying to do our utmost to find solution to their problems," he said.

Meanwhile, Ahmet Tiktik, deputy president of the Islamic Development Bank, informed the Turkish parliament speaker on the structure of the bank. He said that Turkey should become a member of the Islamic development Bank's unit financing special investments.

Later, Sahin left Saudi Arabia for Turkey.
