Turkish Parliament Speaker Mehmet Ali Sahin met with Prince Salman Bin Abdul Aziz, Emir of Riyadh, and Chairman of Majlis Al-Shura Abdullah bin Muhammad Al-Ashaikh as part of his visit to Saudi Arabia.

Sahin said at his meeting with Prince Salman Bin Abdul Aziz that friendly ties between the two countries had made a great progress in the past few years.

"Recent high-level visits have added momentum to our bilateral relations," he said.

He recalled that more than 100 thousand Turkish citizens were living in Saudi Arabia, adding, "we visited the International Turkish School in Riyadh yesterday. There are more than 2 thousand students at the school. They need a more modern building. If we can find a proper piece of land, we can build a modern school building."

Later, Sahin held talks with Chairman of Majlis Al-Shura Abdullah bin Muhammad Al-Ashaikh.

Sahin said at the meeting, "Turkey aims at creating a zone of peace, stability and tranquillity in its region."
