Turkish PM in Bosnia to mark Srebrenica massacre

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan has arrived in Bosnian capital of Sarajevo on late Saturday.

Erdogan and his delegation will participate in a ceremony to commemorate the Srebrenica genocide that took place 15 years ago.

Erdogan will deliver a speech at the ceremony on Sunday.

Prior to his departure from Ankara's Esenboga International Airport on Saturday, Erdogan said that the recent decision of the Turkish Constitutional Court on Constitutional amendments did not give the desired results from a technical perspective.

Nevertheless, the Constitutional Court's decision is one that will help us reach our aim at the referendum on September 12, Erdogan said.

Our people will give the best answer on September 12 and put aside the Constitution of a coup. The people will say 'yes' and show that it is their word that matters, Erdogan said.

Touching on the ceremony to commemorate the Srebrenica genocide on Sunday, Erdogan said that Turkey will participate in the annual ceremony at the prime ministerial level for the first time.

We will remember the victims of the Srebrenica genocide and emphasize that such a tragedy should never happen again, Erdogan said.
