Turkish Cypriot Foreign Minister Huseyin Ozgurgun has said the Greek Cypriot administration violated the negotiation ethics by leaking content of unification talks to the Greek Cypriot media.
In a statement issued Friday, Ozgurgun said the government of Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus was baffled by the negative comments which appeared in the Greek Cypriot press about the Turkish Cypriot counter-proposal on the "power sharing" topic.
Ozgurgun said it was unethical for the Greek Cypriot administration who asked time to assess the counter-proposal of the Turkish Cypriot side to leak details of the proposal to the press, and it showed their insincerity and ill-willed attitude in finding a solution.
He pointed out that their earlier warnings on how making undeserved compliments could encourage the Greek Cypriot administration to take moves against any solution, were unfortunately justified at present.
He said such compliments did not help efforts exerted for a comprehensive solution to the Cyprus issue.
