Governor of the Turkish Central Bank, Durmus Yilmaz, said Tuesday that their inflation expectation for the year 2013 was 5 percent.
Speaking at a press conference on the 2011 Monetary and Exchange Policy, Yilmaz said that the medium term inflation goal was 5 percent.
"We had previously announced our inflation expectation for 2011 and 2012 as 5.5 and 5 percent respectively. We expect an inflation of 5 percent in 2013," Yilmaz said.
As Turkey completes the reform process, it would be possible to expect lower inflation rates, Yilmaz also said.
