World motor vehicles manufacturing increased by 5.3 percent in 2012, compared to the previous year reaching 84.1 million.
According to the International Organization of Motor Vehicle Manufacturers (OICA) data, automobiles production in 2012 was 63 million, light commercial vehicles production was 16.9 million, the production of trucks scored 3.7 million and buses scored 342,000 worldwide.
Despite a drop in Turkey's motor vehicle production in 2011, the country kept its 16th place in the world motor vehicle production list in 2012.
Motor vehicle production decreased 9.8 percent and 1.72 million motor vehicles were manufactured in Turkey in 2012 compared to the year of 2011.
According to figures, worldwide in 2012, one car out of 78 was produced in Turkey.
China kept its leadership by producing the most of the motor vehicles in 2012.
