The governments of Ethiopia and Poland have signed a $50-million loan agreement in Addis Ababa to go towards agriculture development, an Ethiopian Finance Ministry official said Thursday.
"We will use the loan to finance delivery of agricultural goods to be imported from Poland," Hadji Ebsa, head of the ministry's public relations department, told Anadolu Agency.
"The agreement, signed yesterday, is the first of its kind between the two countries," Ebsa said.
The official noted that the deal had been signed by Finance Minister Sufian Ahmed and Polish Ambassador to Ethiopia Jacek Jankowski.Last Mod: 27 Şubat 2014, 14:00
