Ascioglu construction company offered the highest bid of 295.8 million USD in the tender to sell the plot of Galatasaray's Ali Sami Yen Stadium in Istanbul.

The Housing Development Administration of Turkey (TOKI) held a second tender to sale Ali Sami Yen Stadium's 34,640 square-meter-plot.

Ascioglu submitted the highest bid of 461.5 million Turkish liras-TL (295.8 million USD) in the second session of the tender.

Teknik Yapi (construction) was the other bidder in the tender.

The head of the tender commission said the tender was technically over, and TOKI was expected to conclude its assessment in the first week of June.

The Nurol-Ascioglu consortium made the highest offer of 416.5 million TL for the plot of Galatasaray's home arena in an auction on April 16. The other bidder was Ozyazici construction.

On May 7, TOKI cancelled the tender as it found the winning bidder's offer of 416.5 million TL (271 million USD) too low.

The first round of the second tender took place at the TOKI headquarters in Ankara on May 24. Ascioglu-Nurol consortium offered 387 million TL (248 million USD), and Teknik Yapi 249.2 million TL (159.7 million USD)

The winner can construct 138,600 square meters of buildings on the plot, including residence, recreational areas and parks, hotel, business center, offices, shopping mall, cinemas, theaters and entertaining places, restaurants, and banks.
