Iranian Housing Minister visits Turkey's TOKI

Iranian Minister of Housing & Development Ali Nikzad visited Turkey's Housing Development Administration (TOKI) in Ankara on Monday.

Nikzad and an accompanying delegation are currently in Ankara to get information about Urban Transformation Project.

Speaking at a meeting with TOKI Deputy Chairman Ercan Tiras, Nikzad said exemplary works of TOKI helped development of Turkey.

Iranian minister eulogized Urban Transformation of TOKI, adding that, "it is very good that people living in shanty houses have moved to modern houses. You have constructed long term houses of quality with Ankara project."

Nikzad said there was 1.5 million housing need in Iran, "1.7 million houses are under construction in Iran. Two Turkish companies are carrying out a project in Iran including 25,000 houses," he said.
