Libya's decision to provide financial assistance to Egypt coincides with Egypt's decision to return two of the detained members of the Gadhafi regime to Libya.

Libya's newly appointed Ambassador in Cairo Mohamed Fayez Jibril on Monday announced that the Libyan government would provide a financial assistance of two billion dollars to Egypt.

Jibril told Anadolu Agency on Monday that the two billion dollar financial assistance would be deposited to the Central Bank of Egypt. Stating that one billion barrels of oil and byproducts would also be given, Jibril added that a delegation would be appointed to determine the money belonging to the Gadhafi regime in Egypt.

Libya's decision to provide financial assistance to Egypt coincides with Egypt's decision to return two of the detained members of the Gadhafi regime to Libya.
