Passenger train services between Syria's Aleppo city and Turkey's southern province of Mersin will begin on June 18.

Passenger train services between Syria's Aleppo city and Turkey's southern province of Mersin will begin on June 18.

Turkish State Railways (TCDD) stated on Thursday that Aleppo-Mersin passenger train would serve between June 18 and September 18, 2010.

The services will begin from Aleppo on Friday.

The train will serve once a week, and the road between the two cities will take nine hours.

The train has 120 passenger capacity.
