The Spanish financial crisis has left over 3.5 million unemployed thus far.

The Spanish National Statistics Institute (INE) announced that since 2007 Spain has lost more than 3.5 million jobs, with the unemployment rate mostly increasing in the construction and industry sectors.

The institute also reported that there are currently 4,698,814 registered unemployed workers in the country.
