Director General of the Turkish national air carrier Turkish Airlines (THY) Temel Kotil said on Thursday that they would like to cooperate with the first private high-speed train firm of Italy.

Answering the questions of AA correspondent during his visit in Italy, Kotil said Italy market was very important for them and added they would like to increase their visibility in the country via the cooperation with Nuovo Trasporti Viaggiatori (NTV).

Kotil said they would increase the number of flights and destinations to Italy and with high-speed train agreement they would carry more people to more destinations.

He said they plan to be the first five-star air carrier of Europe by 2013.

On the recent advertisement of THY featuring Kobe Bryant and Lionell Messi, Kotil said it was a very successful advertisement.

Kotil will attend a conference on air carriers industry and deliver a speech there on Turkey's experiences.
