Turkish Statistics Board, TurkStat, announced Friday the seasonally adjusted unemployment figure in January was 13.1 percent.

The unemployment figure in January according to TurkStat, prior to the seasonal adjustment, stood at 14.5 percent.

TurkStat also announced seasonally adjusted main labor force indicators for January 2005-January 2010 period on Friday.

After seasonal adjustment, the number of Turks employed in January, 2010 rose to 22.1 million people from a former figure of 21.1 million.

While the number of employed people in January 2005, the date when seasonal adjustments were made, was 19.9 million, after five years this number rose to 22.1 million people in January 2010.
