Turkish Finance Minister Mehmet Simsek addressed a group of Dutch entrepreneurs on Friday in Amsterdam, calling on for joint ventures between Turkish and Dutch businesspeople.
"Do business together and claim larger shares in the market. Go for high value-added products and services and create novel brands," Simsek said in his meeting with senior Dutch businesspeople as well as Dutch lawmakers.
Simsek said Turkey was the sixth biggest economy in Europe and it might become the third biggest by 2040.
"We are taking right steps and making right reforms to quickly close the gap between Turkey and Europe," Simsek said.
