The Turkish state minister for foreign trade said on Tuesday that Turkey made 3.4 billion USD of exports in the first 12 days of July.

Turkey's State Minister Zafer Caglayan said Turkey had earned 58 billion USD from exports since the beginning of 2010.

"Thus, our one-year exports have exceeded 110 billion USD," Caglayan said during a ceremony in Istanbul to reward export companies.

Caglayan said Turkey had exported goods over 100 billion USD in 2009, which made Turkey be one of the 32 countries in the world that made exports over 100 billion USD.

The minister said Turkey had set up country desks to analyze foreign trade figures with more than 60 countries, and was producing policies in line with the analyses of those desks.

Caglayan also said Turkey's annual export target was 107.5 billion USD in the medium-term economic program, and the current figures indicated that the year-end targets would be overtaken.

The Turkish Exporters' Assembly (TIM) said at the beginning of July that Turkey earned 9.1 billion USD from exports in June 2010.

Exports were up 13.2 percent year-on-year in June 2010 and reached 9.1 billion USD. Turkey exported goods worth 53.3 billion USD in the first half of 2010, and the 12-month exports reached 106.5 billion USD.
