Turkey says all flights for Wedns to be made

International flights scheduled from Istanbul are now getting back to normal after the volcanic activity calmed down and European airports reopened, Turkish officials said on Wednesday.

Flights bound for many European cities, such as Frankfurt, Munich, Amsterdam, Manchester, Dusseldorf and London, have restarted early on Wednesday, officials of the airport authority said.

All European airports are now open, said Turkish Airlines (THY) officials, adding that all flights scheduled for Wednesday would be made.

A volcanic eruption in Iceland caused a giant ash cloud that prevailed over Europe for the last couple of days, leading to flight cancellations in the majority part of the continent.
