Turkish Minister of Finance Mehmet Simsek said on Monday that Turkey had a great capacity of thermal power plant, and they wanted to use the dynamism of private sector for these power plants.
Simsek made an address at the privatization ceremony of Kangal thermal power plant, and said that the privatizations in Turkey were not parallel with the other countries, which were made in Turkey transparent, competitive and fair.
Simsek stressed that the foreign demand to privatization was restricted in the last period, adding, "As long as Turkish companies won the privatization and increased productivity, the given importance of external investors for the cooperation will be more."
Simsek pointed out that the private sector investments in Turkey have considerably increased for the last ten years, and said "Turkey will continue making a great profit from privatization."
