Turkey's GSM opearator Turkcell awarded by Euromoney Magazine

Turkey's leading mobile phone operator and communications company Turkcell has said it had won the Award for the Most Convincing and Coherent Business Strategy in the Telecoms-Cellular Sector in the Euromoney Magazine's Best Managed Companies in Central and Eastern Europe-2010 survey.

The company said in statement on Saturday it was also ranked 3rd in the Overall Best Managed Company in the CEE category.

TURKCELL said the Euromoney survey was based on the opinions of market analysts from major banks, research institutes and consulting firms, adding that survey participants nominated their top three companies for each country or sector on the criteria of market strength, profitability, growth potential, quality of management and earnings. 

"We are very proud to have received these two awards which recognise the quality of Turkcell's business strategy and of its management team," Turkcell CEO Sureyya Ciliv said.
