TTK authorities told the A.A on Tuesday that total hard coal production at Armutcuk, Karadon, Kozlu, Amasra and Uzulmez mines in northern Turkey was 59.17 million tons since 1986.
The highest amount of production was 3.52 million tons in 1986 while the lowest amount of production was 1.52 million tons in 2006.
There was a sharp decline in production of hard coal after 30 miners lost their lives in an explosion on May 17, 2010.
