A series of tenders will be held for the privatization of a total of 52 hydroelectric plants owned by EUAS in 19 groups.

Turkey's Kent offers $6.6 mln for group 1 power plants

Turkish firm Kent Solar presented Tuesday the highest offer for the privatization of three hydroelectric plants of Electric Generation Co. (EUAS).

Kent Solar offered 6.6 million USD for the privatization of Iznik Derekoy, Inegol-Cerrah and M.Kemalpasa-Suuctu (Group 1) hydroelectric plants during today's tender held in capital Ankara.

Commenting on his company's winning the tender after five tours of bidding, Kent Solar's chairperson Eyup Kutlucan said his firm would make a 4 million USD investment in two years, increasing the installed capacity to 4 MegaWatts.

A series of tenders will be held for the privatization of a total of 52 hydroelectric plants owned by EUAS in 19 groups.

The tenders are scheduled to be completed until May 21.
