Turkey's year-end inflation expectation down to 7.69 pct

Expectations for Turkey's year-end inflation has gone down to 7.69 percent from a previous projection of 7.73 percent, a survey of Turkish Central Bank showed.

Expectations for Turkey's year-end inflation has gone down to 7.69 percent from a previous projection of 7.73 percent, according to a biweekly survey of Turkish Central Bank.

Expectations for consumer price index (CPI) for July rose to 0.03 percent from 0.02 percent, the survey showed on Thursday.

The Central Bank survey is conducted twice a month to find out the expectations of experts and decision makers from the financial and real sectors and professionals.

The bank said 12-month estimates for inflation dropped to 7.20 percent from 7.24 percent and 24-month inflation expectations remained unchanged as 6.86 percent.

Expectations for year-end current account deficit climbed to 31.9 billion USD. It was 31.17 billion USD in the latest survey.

Year-end GDP growth forecast remained unchanged as 5.4 percent.
