Turkish Finance Minister Mehmet Simsek said on Friday that some Arab countries make a remarkable amount of export of capital and said this money should be used in this region.
Simsek delivered a speech at the closing session of the 5th Turkish-Arab Economy Forum.
Simsek said Turkey was an important country in regard to investment for Arab countries and trade volume between Turkey and Arab world should be boosted. "The figure decreased to 29 billion U.S. dollars in 2009. It was 40 billion U.S. dollars in 2008," he said.
"We should work to make the region a more prosperous one. We must overcome obstacles in front of investment and competition," Simsek said.
"We should boost dialogue and trade with Arab countries," Simsek added.
