The volume of loans by the Turkish banking sector decreased to 951.7 billion Turkish liras in a week as of August 7, sector's regulatory authority announced on Monday.
On August 2, the credit volume had been 954.2 billion TL, the Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency of Turkey (BDDK) said.
According to the weekly bulletin of the BDDK, overall credits excluding the financial sector totaled 866.6 billion TL.
