The volume of loans by the Turkish banking sector increased to 1.067 trillion Turkish liras ($476.4 billion) in a week as of January 10, sector's regulatory authority announced on Monday.
On January 3, the credit volume had been 1.064 trillion TL, the Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency of Turkey (BDDK) said.
According to the weekly bulletin of the BDDK, overall credits excluding the financial sector totaled 972.4 billion TL.
