A group of Turkish business owners operating in Egypt on Tuesday met with officials from Egyptian Ministry of Trade to discuss the country's political prospects and the course of business policy in the aftermath of the turmoil in Egypt.
The meeting --facilitated by Turkey's Ambassador in Cairo Huseyin Avni Botsali-- brought together nearly fifty Turkish businesspeople and Egypt's chief officials with the central free trade zone administration and foreign investments agency.
Botsali said 90 percent of Turkish-owned plants were still operational despite violent protests.
Free Trade Zone Administration head Amr Ali Sina said sought to ease concerns, saying the crisis was temporary.
