Turkish capital to host energy summit

Capital Ankara will host "Gas & Power 2010 Turkey Energy Summit" between April 27 and 29.

The three-day summit will be held in Sheraton Hotel, and focus on nuclear energy, electricity production privatization, investments in energy market as well as problems and expectations of the sector.

Marc Pierini, Head of the Delegation of the European Commission to Turkey, Hasan Koktas, Chairman of Energy Market Regulatory Board of Turkey (EPDK), and Sabanci Holding's CEO Ahmet Dorduncu will deliver the opening remarks of the summit.

Turkish Energy & Natural Resources Minister Taner Yildiz and Finance Minister Mehmet Simsek are expected to attend the summit if their schedule is available.
