Turkish firms invited to Dubai Airport Freezone

Dubai Airport Freezone (DAFZ) is waiting for Turkish companies.

Officials from DAFZ which has nearly 1,500 companies including BenQ, Rolce Royce, Audi, Airbus, Dior and Danzas organized a meeting on promotion of the free-zone for members of Istanbul Chamber of Commerce (ITO).

Bessam Yildirim from the Dubai-based Interlink company told the AA on Friday that Dubai Airport Freezone was the only free-zone in the city.

Yildirim said DAFZ was established in 1996 and there are companies from several sectors in the free-zone. "DAFZ's trade volume amounts to nearly 8-10 billion U.S. dollars a year," he said.

"There are only 4 Turkish companies in DAFZ. We expect more Turkish businesspeople to be there," he said.

DAFZ has tax and investment incentives: 100% corporate tax exemption, 100% import & export tax exemption, 100% personal income tax exemption, 100% foreign company ownership and 100% repatriation of capital and profits.
