Turkish govt plans to invest 3.1 bln TL in energy projects

Turkish government is planning to invest 3.1 billion Turkish liras (TL) in energy projects this year, according to budgetary data for 2011.

Hydroplants will receive the largest share with nearly 1.5 billion TL for eight new and ongoing hydroelectrical power plants and dams.

Nearly 4.7 million TL is allocated for research and development in energy efficiency and renewable energy projects.
