Turkish foreign trade minister said on Friday that Turkey would catch exports figures of 2008 in 2011.
State Minister Zafer Caglayan attended a meeting in Sincan town in Ankara and recalled Turkey's exports amounted to 132 billion U.S. dollars in 2008.
"The country's exports decreased to 102 billion U.S. dollars in 2009 during global economic crisis," he said.
Caglayan said the goal was to reach 107.5 billion U.S. dollars of exports in medium-term program.
"Our exports rose by 23.9 percent to 36.5 billion U.S. dollars between January and May 2010 when compared to the same period last year," he said.
Caglayan added that the figure was expected to become 115 billion U.S. dollars by the end of 2010.
