Turkish Minister wants to turn ISE into joint-stock company

Turkish State Minister & Deputy Premier Ali Babacan has said that they wanted to turn Istanbul Stock Exchange (ISE) into a joint-stock company.

It could be easier to work with ISE if it becomes a joint-stock company, added Babacan who spoke on HT Bloomberg TV on Monday.

If ISE becomes a joint-stock company, some part of the shares can be offered to public, and it could be easier to make international partnerships, said Babacan.

Noting that they gave necessary directives to Capital Market Board (SPK) to turn ISE into a joint-stock company, Babacan said that the goal was to make ISE be a dynamic stock exchange which would be the star of the region and the world, and which could act more comfortably.
