After the Gezi Park events, Turkish toursim sector recovered via early-bookings, said Undersecretary of Turkish ministry of Culture and Tourism Ozgur Ozarslan.
Speaking to Anadolu Agency (AA) Ozarslan said 60 percent of Turkey's tourism capacity was full with an early-booking system.
Ozarslan said the early booking system proved to be more successful compared to previous years in 2013.
He announced that the ministry would closely engage with the Middle East, central and northern Europe to fulfill the remaining 40 percent with last-minute sales.
Tourists from Germany, Holland and Britain generally tend to book their holidays following the new year, and Russia seems to lead the early-bookings, generally preferring sea-side and cultural destinations.
