U.S. dollar has gained on Turkish lira Thursday, reaching the highest since March 2009.

U.S. dollar opened at 1.818, hitting as high as 1.824 at the Istanbul free market, and it traded at 1.825 at the inter-bank market.

U.S. dollar traded at 1.82 TL in March 2009.

Meanwhile, euro traded at 2.473 at the opening of the Istanbul free market.
