Cyprus leaders set meeting schedule for Dec

President Dervis Eroglu of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) and Greek Cypriot leader Demetris Christofias decided to meet again on December 13, 21 and 28.

The leaders met for the 17th time on Monday in Lefkosa within the scope of ongoing talks to find a fair, permanent and comprehensive solution to Cyprus problem.

TRNC President Eroglu spoke to reporters following the meeting that lasted for an hour. He said they focused on the procedures and assessed the matters that were evaluated by the representatives.

Eroglu said they would meet on December 13, 21 and 28 and their representatives would meet two times a week. He said the parties would focus on the problems on six topics, and the sine qua non of both sides.

Eroglu said it would continue till the end of January.

Responding to a question, Eroglu said the representatives discussed economy in the previous meeting, adding the Greek Cypriot party would bring onto agenda its views on territory.
