Netherlands' extreme right wing party, Party for Freedom (PVV),  headed by Geert Wilders, and known for its extremist anti-Islam and anti-Immigration views, have demanded for the closure of all mosques.

During a meeting with the Represnetative congress, PVV Represenative Machiel de Graaf, said that a Holland free of mosques would be better overall, and that “We want to cleanse Holland from all traces of Islam”.

Saying that Muslims refused to change, assimilate or integrate, De Graaf responded to a question by saying that they “Don't want Islam in Holland”. In comparison to Holland natives, Muslims gave birth to more children, De Graaf said that Holland was in danger of losing its identity and culture because of the high birth rate of Muslims.

De Graaf said, “Dutch unity, identity and culture are being wrecked by immigration and via wombs."

Known for its anti-Muslim anti-immigration poltics, the PVV have in the past demanded for new mosques not to be built but are now saying that they wish for all mosques to be closed down and received a strong reaction from other party members in the parliament.

The PvdA, the Workers Party, representative Roos Vermeij,  demanded that the PVV deputies retract their words and the Democrat 66 (D66) party member Sten van Weijenberg said that such comments were dangerous.

Other parliamentarians, most notably Labor MP Khadija Arib who chaired the debate, criticized De Graff's call and said on her twitter account that “the integration debate had reached a low point.”

Geert Wilders, leader of the Party for Freedom, said on Nov. 15 in Palm Beach, U.S., that "Islam is eating away at our Judeo-Christian and humanist civilization and replacing it with intolerance, hatred and violence. And our so-called leaders allow it... our politicians foolishly allowed millions of Islamic immigrants to settle within our borders."

Wilders had altered the Saudi flag in December, 2013, using the Arabic alphabet to include insults to Islam. He had put the modified flag on the door of his office in the Parliament building and urged his fellow countrymen to do the same.

He also had compared the Koran to Adolf Hitler's Mein Kampf.

He was acquitted of charges of "hate speech against Muslims" in 2011 by the Dutch court on the grounds that his comment targeted a religious group and not an ethnic one.
