Geneva hosts tripartite Cyprus meeting

United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, President Dervis Eroglu of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and Greek Cypriot leader Demetris Christofias came together at UN Center in Geneva, Switzerland on Wednesday.

Ban will make a statement about the meeting in the afternoon.

The parties will discuss the progress which was recorded in Cyprus talks, and a "working calendar" will be presented to Cypriot leaders which will be implemented until the next tripartite meeting will take place in March.

Also, the six topics --Management & Share of Power, the EU, Economy, Property, Territory and Guarantees-- on the negotiation table will be taken up during the meeting.

Eroglu is expected to depart from Geneva on Thursday.

Talks, which aim to find a solution to Cyprus problem, began in September of 2008. Ban, Eroglu and Christofias had held another tripartite meeting in New York on November 18, 2010.
