German Chancellor Angela Merkel said they would revise the relations with Egypt because of the violence in that country.
Speaking to German ZDF channel, Merkel said that they needed to do their best to stop the violence in Egypt, stating the situation there was concerning.
Merkel said that the political gridlocks could not be solved by violence.
On a question regarding the arms trade with Egypt, Merkel said that they would reevaluate the situation in Egypt entirely.
Indicating that restriction on arm exportation could be considered as a method to express to Egyptian authorities that the violence was unacceptable, Merkel said foreign ministers of EU would probably come together in following week and after that meeting they would examine which measures would be taken in future.Güncelleme Tarihi: 19 Ağustos 2013, 12:57
