Italy rejected on Thursday the asylum request of former NSA contractor Edward Snowden.
Italian Minister of Foreign Affairs Emma Bonino made an address in the House of Representatives, stating that they had not accepted the apply for asylum of the head actor of "Datagate" scandal, Edward Snowden.
"There is no juridical and political condition that Italy could accept the apply for asylum," said Bonino in the parliament.
Germany had also rejected late Tuesday the asylum request of Snowden, because necessary conditions had not been met and asylum applications made from outside Germany had no validity.
Snowden is staying in the international area of Sheremetyevo International Airport in Moscow.Güncelleme Tarihi: 05 Temmuz 2013, 09:06
