Romania has fully reopened its airspace following a closure due to the volcanic ash cloud that has been hanging over Europe, the southeast European country's deputy transport minister said late on Monday.
"From this moment the whole airspace of Romania opens," Marin Anton told reporters. "We hope the cloud will not affect us in the future."
Romania's flag carrier Tarom has so far lost 3 million euros due to the ash cloud, Anton said.
