Romania will resume air traffic at its main Bucharest airports from 1200 GMT on Monday after a two-day closure due to the ash cloud, and may fully reopen its airspace on Tuesday, Prime Minister Emil Boc said.
"There are reasons to reopen all airports from Tuesday morning," Boc said after an emergency meeting on developments.
Deputy Transport Minister Marin Anton has said Romanian flag carrier Tarom has reported daily losses of 1.1 million euros because of the suspension of flights.
