UN names new special envoy for Cyprus

United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon appointed Lisa Buttenheim as his new special envoy for Cyprus.

Marie Okabe, deputy spokesperson for the United Nations Secretary-General, said that Buttenheim would replace Taye-Brook Zerihoun, who had been acting as the special envoy of the UN Secretary-General for Cyprus since 2008.
