Two policemen, a soldier and a protester were injured in protests held in Turkey's southern province of Hatay on Thursday following the death of university student Ali Ismail Korkmaz, who lost his life in the ICU after being battered anonymously during Gezi Park protests in Eskisehir in central Turkey on June 2.
Protesters gathered in Hatay's city-centre and threw stones at police after funeral of Korkmaz.
Police dispersed the protesters but when they reunited and erected barricades blocking the roads, the police used tear gas and water cannon.
Two policemen, one soldier, and one protester were injured in the incidents.
In western Izmir province, police detained 15 protesters for damaging public buildings and vehicles as well as workplaces.
