The Ankara Chief Prosecutor's Office has deferred a criminal complaint filed by the Turkish Armed Forces due to an improper venue, Deputy Chief Prosecutor Nuri Yigit said on Friday.

Yigit said the Istanbul Chief Prosecutor's Office would take over the case.

Meanwhile, another criminal complaint brought by the Association of Judges and Prosecutors (YARSAV) against the ruling AK Party Deputy Chairman Mehmet Ali Sahin was deferred to the Court of Cassation for lack of jurisdiction.

The Turkish General Staff filed a criminal complaint on Thursday regarding some of the cases in which the members of the armed forces are being tried.
