At least 20 people were killed and 28 others wounded early Thursday morning when a bus carrying up to 50 passengers veered off the road in central Turkey in Kayseri's Pinarbasi town, a local governor said.
The majority of the bodies of the deceased were removed from under the overturned bus.
Expressing worries that the death toll may rise, Provincial Health Director Dr. Ahmet Oksuzkaya said that many ambulances from Pinarbasi town and Kayseri's city center were dispatched to the accident scene.
There is no information about how the accident occurred as of yet.
