In the opening ceremony Turkish president promised more investment to Bingöl. Erdogan said there after bringing the Kurdish solution process to a conclusion, more investment would come to the Bingöl.

Bingol Airport officially opened by Turkish PM

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan attended the opening ceremony of the first airport of the eastern Turkish province of Bingöl on Friday.

In the opening ceremony Turkish president promised more investment to Bingöl. Erdogan said there after bringing the Kurdish solution process to a conclusion, more investment would come to the Bingöl.

Erdogan stated that with the new airport more investors would come to Bingöl. In his speech Erdogan said that Bingöl is one of those cities which suffered from three decades old of armed conflict.

Continiuing his speech Turkish Prime Minister Erdogan said "the solution process was continuing very successfully thanks to your benediction."

“We had been receiving very good news from this region for months. We are witnessing a process in which hopes are rising," said the Turkish prime minister.

"The airport set to open in the southeastern Turksih province of Şırnak at the end of the month will be named after Şerafettin Elçi," said Erdogan. Elçi was an prominent Kurdish politician who passed away last year.
