Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan was chosen as the "Muslim Leader of 2012" in a survey conducted by "Preporod" newspaper of Bosnia's Islamic Union for his contributions to Islam and the lives of Muslims throughout the year.
Many prominent Bosnians, including scientists, scholars, academicians, members of non-governmental organizations and readers joined in the survey.
According to the survey conducted by "Preporod", Palestine's upgraded status at the United Nations to 'non-member observer state' was chosen as the event of the year in 2012.
