Passport control systems were locked at Istanbul's Atatürk and Sabiha Gökçen airports due to an alleged cyberattack early Friday, causing dozens of flights to be delayed for several hours.

Hundreds of passengers stood in passport control lines for more than an hour after the İstanbul Provincial Security Directorate's data system was locked. Many flights were delayed, and a Libya- bound Turkish Airlines (THY) flight was canceled. The system was restored after an hour.
