Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu welcomed the report of the Council of Europe's Committee for the Prevention of Torture and Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment (CPT) on prison conditions of PKK leader Abdullah Ocalan.
Speaking at a program on a local TV station in Konya on Saturday, Davutoglu said, the recent report of the CPT on prison conditions of PKK leader Abdullah Ocalan at Imrali island showed that prison standards in Turkey reached international ones.
Such a report is a positive development. This report is a good answer for those who claimed that Ocalan was isolated, said Davutoglu.
The Republic of Turkey is a state of law, it treats all criminals at international standards, Davutoglu also said.
