Speaking while receiving the German delegation, Governor Dogan said that he was pleased to see Schmid and his delegation in Konya.
"The province of Konya could be described in two ways. Firstly, Konya is 'an ancient capital'. And, secondly, Konya is 'the capital of tolerance'," Dogan underlined.
"We get pleased when visitors come here from all around the world and carry our message of tolerance to different corners of the world. World needed tranquility and peace in the past. Today the world needs tranquility and peace and tomorrow will be the same. As economy, they are the unchangeable headlines of our agenda. When I looked at the provinces you have selected, I thought that they were correctly chosen. I was very pleased to host you and your delegation in Konya," Dogan noted.
Dr. Schmid, in his part, said that they hoped Turkey's EU membership process would not elongate too long.
"And, I think that the EU will not need to apologize to Turkey," Dr. Schmid stressed.
