The spokesman of International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) Nick Davies said, "The claims involving in a news by a Telegraph sports writer Simon Hart about Turkey do not reflect the truth, it is just a gossip."
Davies spoke to AA reporter about the claim dated July 9 in the daily Telegraph saying, "A top level official of IAAF stated tens of Turkish athletes used performance enhancing drugs according to initial reports, this number could reach up to 30 and Turkey could be banned from Moscow Athletics Championship from August 10-18, 2013."
Noting IAAF was aware of the speculative news in international press, Davies talked, "The claims in the news do not reflect the truth and the news is just a gossip."
Davies said Turkey would not be banned from World Athletics Championship. Pointing out the news in the Telegraph based on assumptions, Davies also said IAAF worked in coordination with Turkey Anti-Doping Agency (TADA) and Turkish Athletics Federation and there was no any problem among the institutions.
